Fundamental Requirements for Importers:
Importer License
Must be an EDE-authorized Medical Store or licensed Medical Warehouse.
Local Agent:
Foreign manufacturers must appoint an EDE-licensed UAE-based local agent named on the product's Marketing Authorization.
GSDP Certificate
Mandatory Good Storage and Distribution Practice certificate to ensure supply chain integrity
Product Registration
All products must have a pre-existing Marketing Authorization (Registration Certificate) from the EDE.
Imports of registered medicines require two separate applications via the EDE/MOHAP platform:
